Description
This 6210 Colonial Handrail is 2 5/8″ at its widest and 2 3/8″ at its tallest. It is a larger and more bold alternative to the 6010 handrail and is an excellent choice when using larger craftsman or square top balusters. Like the 6010 Series it has a soft and simple profile that makes it is one of the most easily installed handrails, especially with fittings. The 6210 handrail will accommodate a 1 1/4″ or 1 3/4″ plow / groove. Handrail plows are typically 1/4″ deep. Custom handrail plows are available, contact us for details and pricing. Due to the difference in the ways a tree grows, the availability of different wood species may also vary in character, lengths, widths, and color. On occasion, some linear stair parts, such as handrail, may require staggered joints in order to provide longer length stair parts. For example, the lumber from an Alder tree is rarely longer than 10′, so to obtain a 14′ handrail this would require some form of joint (rarely noticeable once finished).
