The 8172 is a Veneered Closed Tread Cap without Riser that measures 1/2″ x 6.5″ x 11.5″. It is used on the treads and risers against the wall side of the stairway when carpeting will be installed up the center of the stairway. For our 3/4″ Solid Tread Cap Option see the 525TWC.
