It can be used for new balustrades to cut the installation time down to 1/3 of typical. It is also used to replace wood balusters with 1/2″ iron balusters in remodel situations. This allows you to keep your existing newel posts, handrail and other wood components in place, saving potentially hundreds of dollars in labor and new parts to replace them.
